3 DAYS TO NEXT YEAR IDEK
2009... in many ways it was just a transition year. It hasn't been easy, but yeah well life isn't. I don't think I want to talk about it here because this is ~teh intarwebz~ but rn I feel like one of the greatest mysteries in life has been solved: steez = STYLE WITH EASE. Oh god I can't wait to use this in an ELL essay as an example of internet speak.

Christmas season this year was really good.
Eve was spent with the recsindians.
Day was with cousins and frisbeepeeps.
Post was all about shopping!! But I didn't get anything :(
Only bummer was my stupid ankle which surprisingly became much better today ugh really need to watch my salt intake!! Or sth sth.

Everything does turn out alright in the end, like they say :)
Today was awesome - Christmas eve brunch at The Marmalade Pantry where Yilin and I failed to make it to on our very failure meetup date a couple of weeks ago, and the soup is frickin' good. So was the crabmeat pasta and I DIDN'T HAVE DESSERT BECAUSE I WAS CRAV
Whipped up a Christmas eve dinner and spent the night at home with my momma, what a nice quiet way to spend the night :) And perhaps heading down to Dempsey later for a even nicer and quieter midnight - wee hours hohoho I can't wait! And even if we do end up spending the first minutes of Christmas watching tv (CRIMINAL MINDS SEASON 3 JUST ARRIVED FROM UK TODAY!!!!!) and stuffing our faces with Macs / junk food i'll still be really really contented.
Ahh I think I'm starting to mellow, one night partying has killed me physically I'M SO TIRED HELPPZZ.
I AM ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A HOMEMADE CHRIS
Oh and Botanical Gardens with Max was fun and the lights were so pretty and we had pizza by the river (where there were mega lotsa turtles eew) and took loads of pictures. Bimbotic outing, I know.

Today is a good day. Because it’s warm today! Haha can you imagine? I only needa wear 1 long sleeve shirt at home! :D normally I would wear 2 shirts and 2 jackets. Yay. I love warm weather! :D
Ohman. Feel so sleepy. Hahah I don’t know if it’s the cold weather making me drowsy and lethargic. Or maybe it’s the lack of exercise! Hahah. Im getting PHAT.
Was woken up this morning by some woman shouting for another woman I think living just opposite us. Omg. She was SOOOO freaking noisy. Wanted to ask her to keep quiet but I scared later she scold me. Seriously you know. She kept shouting 黄太! 黄太! (for a gazillion times -.- like at least 15 times! And it’s like a crescendo u know. She kept shouting louder and louder and louder cos she scared the woman cannot hear her -.-) and she kept knocking on her door. I think she wanted to ask that wong woman to go drink tea with her but she’s not at home? She complained that she kept calling the wong woman but she nv pick up her phone. -.-
After that my uncle called but I was too lazy to get up to answer the phone xD
This is entirely random. I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night ytd. I think it was sth like my elbow accidentally knocked against the window (which is right next to my upper deck bed) and I thought I was in singapore. But I woke up and remembered I was in hk. Lol.
Nothing much happened ytd. Just went for tea with my 3rd aunt. Drinking tea (as in not literally lah. Means eat dimsum, drink tea and talk) has become quite a mundane affair. It was the 2nd time in well, 4 days. Not very exciting. Haha. It used to be more fun? Maybe cos that time I was still a small kid.
Had to look through MANY bags of clothes ytd to see if there are any suitable for me. My cousins/aunts brought in many huge bags -.- omg. SO TIRING looking through all of them! I’m kinda still left with one small bag of clothes which I haven’t tried. Don’t think I wanna try anytime soon.
Today I wanted to go to the lib but then it only opens at 12 today because it’s Christmas eve. There is nooooooo Christmas spirit in the air at all! Lol. The part I stay at is not like town area so there’s nth much around here. And I hvn’t been towning at all (y) we used to come together to take xmas pics! But somehow this yr is abit diff? haha. Maybe cos everyone’s grown up and they all have their own activities….
Haha. half of my cousins are more grown up (= older than me + hv gf/bf/husband/wife/kids) and the other half are of course younger lah. Haha. I belong to the latter :D hehe.
Finally recovered my lost photos last night. Freaked me out cos my cam/com had probs reading all my hk pics -.- damn stupid.
Wonder what’s it like in sg now. Apparently there’s a whole lot of sales with great deals? And im missing out on all of that! AH.
Oh. Maybe I shall just share another trick to living in a cold place. Before you bathe, i.e. once you step into the bathroom, quickly “wash” the floor with hot water! Haha this is so that you won’t hv to step on the cold floor and you’d feel warmer! :D
Ok. 1 more hour to the opening of the library. I think the wireless in hk is pretty zzz because most places don’t offer wifi. Esp shopping centers and all. Only govt buildings hv -.- like libraries and offices and blahblah. And if you go macs or what, apparently you can only use the wireless for free for 20 min? haha. yeah and most places do offer wireless just that you have to pay -.- so unfriendly huh their policies!
Lol my small cousin asked me out to watch Alvin and the chipmunks with her. Lol. Don’t know if im going though. Actly I could go over to her place to slpover last night but I was too lazy to budge. Haha cos when my uncle called it was already about 9 o clock! (which means that by the time I reach her place all I can do there is to just sleep) And I was watching tv. Lol. So I just stayed at my grandma’s place loh.
The tv shows now aren’t really nice lah. I thought end of year will hv those grand 台庆 shows but don hv leh. And then like the variety shows I also don see any familiar faces…ok luh. The 8+ show has ron ng in it. Hahah. Used to like him in the airplane show back in sec 3.
I think my smallest cousin (Christina) is quite like me? Haha. at least from what I have observed so far.
Anw my other cousin changed her name from ellpher to phoebe! Haha. then her nickname is bibi. Quite funny right. I just thought of bibi and baba (y). tried to look for my cousins on fb ytd. Haha. not bad lor. I didn’t even know that my cousin changed her name but I managed to find her all the same (: I don’t know the names of my other cousins so I cldn’t be bothered to find them. Lol. Cos donno the spelling of their canto names or their eng names mah.
Aiyo. It’s getting cold again. Maybe it’s cos im sitting at the window then got wind blowwwww.
oh damn. my fav cubicle with the power point got koped by some guy who's using 2 cubicles!!! TWO LEH. maybe i shall ask him if he's kind enough to share the power point w me. haha.

23rd December :) / :( ?? I'm having a love-hate relationship with how time is passing now. I look forward to each day ahead but it brings me nearer and nearer to things I'm not prepared for! Like: school, tests, A-levels, the fact that I should be registering for SATs or something, my FUTURE, and various other commitments. And I just kind of want to bum around and read MLIA's archives and watch stupid Korean videos and dramas and box sets and learn something new on the guitar.
It also occurs to me that I have Very Few Clothes for a Seventeen Year Old - this requires immediate rectification. Except, only after the HOLIDAY SEASON~ for I need to lose weight! O Japan you were not good for me, your delicious pearly white rice begs to be eaten. And various Christmas foodstuffs. Log cakes~ ham~ turkey~ 'nuff said. Gurk my stomach just growled at me.
Hai guise this is really kind of gross but I really need to exercise... i-n-e-r-t-i-a come on, no one in their right mind would want to run around my estate it's too frickin' hilly. I also have decided that I hate gyms. So I've decided that the best form of exercise for me would probably be some kind of treadmill-powered-computer. Like if I stop running, it stops functioning. So I'll beup in the gym just workin' on my fitness jogging like all srsly and if I stop ~BAM~ ONOEZ IDOL ARMY STOPS STREAMING!!! Um ok no I actually really think that exercise is a good thing except I'd rather do it through sports rather than individual type exercises like swimming or jogging. Man this is why I needed training at least I got some exercise done in the entire holidays.
My parents have also decided that they want to construct our own BBQ grill and have a New Year's Eve BBQ; I am rather worried. I have to Google homemade-BBQ-grills for them, hurray. Every little part counts to save my garden from burning down.

I'm sitting here now, at the reception area of this little inn that we're staying at, which is nestled in the midst of many other little inns atop a mountain in Hakone. And it is freezingly cold! Of cos it's much warmer at this reception area - and mind you, I'm only wearing a yakuta (or a damn thin cloth that wraps around your body like a kimono) - but my toes are like freezing.
AND. I am still very amazed at how I managed to find Internet here! Like, just how amazing is this world?! Up in some mountain and you can STILL stay connected with the rest of the world. Sigh, and for Internet addicts like me and my brothers, having Wifi is seriously godsend. Our little ryokan is now warmed up and tonight we'll be sleeping on the floor with only our yakutas, like really olden-day Japanese folks! Cool stuff. Except that we're really quite far away from civilization (okay I kid of cos, I mean, I have the Internet?!), and there's nothing much that can be done. We just found out this morning that we can't go up to Mt Fuji cos of some snow alert, which is a huge bummer (it's like losing the purpose of this trip mer), and I'm suay enough to kena when there's an awesome hot spring here.. so! Thank God I have a book to read.. AND MY HUSBAND TO ACCOMPANY ME! I married my Macbook the moment I bought it :))
If there's one thing that I've realized about Japan so far, other than how bloody polite and courteous they are to a fault (I have already taken to bowing when I say thank you! GASPS), it's that the general population here is REALLY old! Gosh, seeing the aging population problem that everyone has been talking about in real life - how surreal huh hurhur. Okay geek moment, but nvm you get my point right!
6 more full days here and it's back home! I KNOW why I'm missing home so much more this time - as much as I like Japan thus far and I know i ought to be thankful that I'm here - but when you're armed with the knowledge that someone is probably waiting for you to return, and you bloody want to return to him too, it makes a whole lot of a difference.
Oh well, I muse!
Shall make my way back down to my Wifi-less little room now to enjoy DINNNERRRRR which is totally brought to us! Nom nom nom. Till the next post! :))

hi world.
day 2.
oh. i came to the lib to use com for a while in the morn. lol. then my 3rd aunt came and we had lunch and we talked. haha. then after that the adults went to do their own stuff and i left to meet evelyn! haha. went to mongkok with her! got a i <3 hk shirt. haha. don't know if it's too small though? haha hopefully not x.x anw at night there was this dog owners + dogs gathering thing? haha i donno what it is. they were like bringing their dogs around for ppl to see and pet and take photos with. anw i found out that actly only some places are REALLY that crowded. it's not everywhere that it's like that. hahah. there was some funny schboy who asked me where ladies' street was when he was alr standing there! at that street! haha. and cmon hk boy ask sg girl? haha. abit farnie right. but anw i kindly told him the whole stretch was ladies street end of story! oh. and i managed to get a woman pissed off. lol. cos we were buying shirts so i was confirming the price with her. we slashed the price by damn alot. 60 bucks for 3 shirts. which means like less than 4 bucks for 1 shirt in sg dollars. and well i was too loud and she got pissed lor. hahaha.
walked around cityplaza after that. lol it's SOOO BIG. yet there's nth much interesting. the agnes b xmas decor was nice though :D wanted to take pic but was too lazy. lol. tried damn hard to locate h&m and uniqlo cos they were at another block. walk until wan die -.- went there and there wasn't anyth much. hair accessories were pretty cool though. alright like how cool can they get. haha but they're abit diff from what's usu there in sg i think? ok then again i don't shop a lot so i don't really know! had just as much prob trying to get back to the mtr after that cos it's SO CONFUSING. omg they don't hv directory or what one lor! damn stupid. managed to find my way back home anw!
went home and watched teeveeeeeeeee. i don't know why i used to like rushing home for tv the last time i went back. lol. i guess the shows are alright? like normal? watched the 9+ one that day.
omg i just rmbed what happened that night when i was walking back from taikoo station. wtheck. got TWO GUYS GO AND CORNER ME LEH. wtheck. lol. usu ppl wanna target u to promote stuff or what only got 1 person what! wl. i wanted to walk away then the other guy came and block me! STUPID GUYS! RAWR. ok but i was stupid also -.- i walked towards the fence cossssss i was on that side originally alr anw! ok the guys were from california fitness and they have this lucky draw kinda thing? u know the scratch scratch cards? yeah. so they kinda forced me to participate in it -.- i was so an unwilling party -.- then ok. i got some special prize thing. and the guy brought me up to the center on the 2nd floor. asked me stuff to fill in some form i donno for what. lol. then whoo surprise! he found out that i dont live in hk! haha some bomb dropped on him or sth man. lol. he was asking me like what's my name what's my hp no. (which i had probs rmbing cos it's just a prepaid card). asked if i was coming hm from work (HUR trying to say i look old or what huh!). so i told them/him the stuff and i said i was on holiday! and he was like huh holiday? lol. then i told him yes im a student and blah blah blah. then the bank acct thing. he was SO SHOCKED that i dont hv a bank acct in hk. (OF COURSE I DONT LUH) lol. he was like, u mean u don't draw money from atm machine at all? then i was all innocent and told him, huh no. my mom gives me money everyday. but he still had those kinda exaggerated incredulous look on his face anw -.- then he asked me what kinda student i am now. like what level lah. in sg we call it like sec 1-4 but in hk it's form 1-7 lah (which kinda inclds jc). then i was tired of playing on alr lah. cld hv told him im in form 7 (which my same age cousin is in now) but just hecked luh. later he go ask me what sch i study in and blah i donno anyth man. haha. so no need fill in any form alr lor! and i got my prize also. but wtheck. the prize was DAMN FRIGGING WEIRD srsly. it was a pack of facial wash thing for cuticle removal on the t zone area of ur face. (that's pretty alright right. not that bad yet) and the other one....he asked me if i knew what it was. guessed it was some kinda bathing lotion kinda thing. then he ask me to read the stuff written on the bottle lah. then it was SO WEIRD OMG. lol. i was reading the thing out to show that i know how to read it -.- haha but he stopped me halfway and said, it's ok, you can just read it silently. and u know why?! that's becauseeeeeeeee............it's for washing ur private part -.- diaox! wtheck right -.- haha. i rly cldnt quite comprehend it at that point in time, so i just said, haha i donno what it is -.- lol then he said, but the chi and eng stuff correspond so i shld be able to understand...yeah. i kinda know how to read the stuff u know but i just cldnt get what the heck the thing was for. i saw the word 'virginal part' and i was like O.o anw he finally let me off and i cld go homeeee. lol. i guess they're like giving out free samples of stuff and then conveniently get ppl to sign up at their centre. haha. at first i was damn suspicious of them lah then i asked like, huh what u bring me here for? to exercise ah? lol. they're damn cunning you know. they bring you to the escalator there first. then they say 'OH. we ran out of that prize here alr. hv to go up to get somemore.' then they'll get u to go along and tadah try to get all ur info and wtv -.- anw apparently the top prize is supposed to be an iphone? but i donno how true is that. haha. yeah.
anw in hk u hv to stand on the right on escalators instd of the left in sg. took a while to get used to it..
bathing was a NIGHTMARE that night. SO FREAKING COLD I TELL YOU. i was shivering in the toilet. damn stupid u know. bathe halfway suddenly not alot of hot water left leh. so must let the water heat up a while first right. wl. freaking cold. almost died. and it seemed like the water wasn't gg to heat up anytime soon. so i just bathed in lukewarm water (i think) which was RELATIVELY PRETTY COLD. anw i learnt some tricks luh. go toilet shld line the toilet seat with toilet paper first! helps u know! then the seat wont be so cold anymore! :D this is good for wakey time and bathing time. and use the heater thingy to heat up ur clothes before wearing them after bathing! haha. otherwise will be wearing cold clothes u know! like BRRRR.
haha. fine. i hv low cold tolerance.

SO FREAKING COLD I TELL YOU. i was shivering in the toilet. damn stupid u know. bathe halfway suddenly not alot of hot water left leh. so must let the water heat up a while first right. wl. freaking cold. almost died. and it seemed like the water wasn't gg to heat up anytime soon. so i just bathed in lukewarm water (i think) which was RELATIVELY PRETTY COLD. anw i learnt some tricks luh. go toilet shld line the toilet seat with toilet paper first! helps u know! then the seat wont be so cold anymore! :D this is good for wakey time and bathing time. and use the heater thingy to heat up ur clothes before wearing them after bathing! haha. otherwise will be wearing cold clothes u know! like BRRRR.
haha. fine. i hv low cold tolerance.

nothing much to say actually. Went out with Friend today, went to watch Avatar and then walk around Ion some. The crowd at Ion totally drained my energy, holiday dinner crowd at Orchard = madness. But was fun seeing Friend after so long. THANKS FRIEND FOR MAKING ME LAUGH ((: Christmas is coming! :D can't wait heh.
Its quite funny how there's this.. Mannequin? Behind her and the hand keeps brushing the bottom of her guitar. I keep thinking it's gonna come alive and pull the guitar away from her HAHA.
I miss school. Not the lessons, just the routine of it all - going to school in the morning, dragging my feet half asleep to the frisbee table and perking up at the hubbub of voices and occasional swear words (yes, even frisbee people tone down slightly in the morning), trudging to assembly; sitting in class and listening to Mr Sowden drone on (I MISS MR SOWDEN D: D: D:) Eating during lectures, trying not to fall out of the lecture theatre seat when I fall asleep during math lects and all. Running from Blk J all the way to the lockers to get my jacket/books before Mr Purvis'/Booth's tutorials and thennnn sometimes the latter doesn't show up
It will be a good 8 months before I go to school again. MEH D: I need to find stuff to fill up my life with.

I guess I never really was and probably will never be the sentimental sort, I can't do all those emotional thingthings, I'm just indequate. And hollow. Plus I hate how I easily get jealous, over nothing! What can I truly count on in life? I can't remember/don't know.

HI WORLD. i survived my first day in HK yesterday! hahah. amazing much. im pretty left alone today to do my own stuff/exploring. haha. might just pop over to my aunt's house later to get internet connection. actually my grandma's place has ppl with wirelss just that they're all security enabled kind -.- so cannot hack!
hm. my cousin and uncle came to fetch us from the airport ytd. lol. there was this GIANT santa claus and snowman bobbling around the airport for ppl to take pics with. damn funny lah the way they walked. haha. like gg to fall down alr pls.
(zomg the keyboard is so noisy! maybe im not used to using desktop keyboards luh x.x)
went to my grandma's house after that! don't know if it's just her place or what but it's like quite cold? haha like colder than at the airport. (fast forward) gosh. u won't wanna bathe or whatever it's so DAMN COLD. even the toilet seat is cold ): but of course i still bathed and all! I AM CLEAN :D hahah.
then my cousin's husband came and my big aunt and uncle came! haha had lots of food! and zzz. there was no plain soy sauce, only the one with wasabi ): which of course was TOO MUCH. hahah. i dont like wasabi :S

oh. i played quite a lot with my nephew ytd. his name is ma kit ting. haha so uh i think his nickname is called marketing? haha i didn't come up with that! my cousins did. lol. he's quite cute leh! haha think he grow up that time will look quite cute. mm as in handsum kinda cute. hahaha. ok who knows. but his voice is SOOOOOO low lah! not like 6 yr old at all! haha like voice break alr leh! he's like super energetic -.- lol. i play a while with him i tired alr ): OH NO im oldddd ): haha. he loves being violet to soft toys -.- lol. and he likes putting them in the basin for them to 'bathe'. lol. had an imaginary 'party' and 'restaurant thingy' with the soft toys. haha. SO KIDDY. haha. but quite funny lah. haha. for the party, each time he called up the soft toy, he'd ask them to bring presents and food and drinks! haha zomg. so THICKSKIN one! hahah ask for presents! haha. and nv even prepare food for the guests! haha. yeah. played quite abit of scissors paper stone with him also. BTW my grandma's house has a big rikkukuma bear and cinnamonroll! haha i like! :D :D
btw i watched 500 days of summer on the plane ytd! haha. quite nice the show (: haha. it's v engaging. and caught abit of public enemies too. john dillinger died ): and apparently melvin purvis commited suicide? lol. the wife quite cool leh.

oh. after that my cousin came to visit too. haha. he's of the same age as me! just that he's 7 months plus older. haha. didn't have much to say? cos we aren't like close or anyth. haha. a bit weird luh. but i think he's quite nice? haha. still knows how to talk crap a lot and he's quite shy also? haha. oh. he is SUPER tall. 181 leh! im 20 cm shorter! (ok i just revealed my height haha. no big deal!)
anw the macs here i think no free wireless leh! so lame! can only use for 20 min i think! maybe i go try starbucks or sth. haha.
at night it was FREEEEEEZING COLD. esp after i bathed! because got wet hair ): SO COLD LAH. slp that time got thick thick blanket also no use! like slping in refrigerator or sth pls! hahah. sooo i ended up hving blocked nose last night! lol. so stupid. fall sick on the first day! but i ate medicine luh so im perfectly fine now (: haha.
anw i think i talked to a maid jnow? haha she knows how to speak eng leh! :D haha. had to call her so that i can check whats my own hp no. cos i think i forgot to remind my aunt to give me my no. ok i donno if she's a maid lah. not chinese jiu shi le. haha.
okie. shall head off to my aunt's place! haha go back to grandma's place to grab my laptop first. BYEBYE :D
hi. im back in the lib with my laptop. there are more and more ppl coming to use com? haha. the lib is v gd leh! ALOT ALOT OF COMPUTERS! :D haha. the last time i went back there were only like 5 or 6 so if u wanna use the com there u rly have to reserve a timeslot.
anw it's really cold outside. haha my face cold. and my hands cold.
i hope the lib guy will take care of me. hahah. i mean like not let ppl come to my cubicle to use com. hahah. *crosses fingers*
ok whee i finished uploading pics. zz so tired now! macs has this shrimp burger leh. like mos burger like that one. lol.

WHAT SHALL I DO NOWWWWWW? lol. the guy next to me just got chased away. maybe my booth isn't so popular because it's an audio and visual booth. but anw im pretty much done with using the com alr. haha.
btw i think my cousin is quite sweet? i think i won't ever be able to be as nice as her! haha. most of the time i don't really know what to say to ppl so i'd just smile and laugh. (y) lol. pretty good space fillers. and i think my voice quite monotonous? (unless im high or sth) so i think i sound pretty uninterested sometimes. haha quite bad luh huh.

I am presently craving for char siew rice. Lots of meat with lots of char siew sauce all over steaming hot rice with lot of cucumber that isn't bitter. I have no idea why I suddenly felt like eating that but the taste just flashed across my mind and now I'm craving for it. AHH D: D:

Konichiwa! I'm sitting in my hotel room, at 11pm (Tokyo time; 10pm SG time) freezing my backside off even though the aircon's completely off, and replying the boy's email.
Japan has been awesome so far! JUST DAMN FCKING COLD. I actually thought there were some parts of the day that it was completely okay, and I was wearing the least among the 3 of us, but when the wind blew at night, FREAK! It was damn cold can! Worse than Korea when I was there a long time ago. We did abit of shopping today and basically just taking the subway around the area to the popular shopping areas and immersed ourselves in the Japanese culture. I mean, it was a Sunday! Throes of people were out on the streets and honestly, if you are one of those who think that SG is annoyingly crowded during Xmas time, Japan is one times worse. Given, the streets are much wider and people are not as rude and pushy as those in HK, but still. I'm majorly crowd-averse, so I was abit mortified at the number of people that were around me. It felt like the entire Tokyo came out to play, but then it suddenly dawns on you that you're really in only but a small section of this big city. I predict more battling the crowds tomorrow, but it's fun! Cos the brother and I would be walking around taking pretty photos tomorrow, on ourselves :) We made tomorrow PHOTO-TAKING DAY, and Tues SHOPPING DAY. Lol fun! :))
Okay, I know I shouldn't be blogging on the FIRST day of my holiday, but whatever you say, I'm a self-professed Internet addict. Not super proud of that, but I've long accepted that as part of me already. HAHA :)
So ya ya don't nag, I'm getting off RIGHT AFTER THIS. To read!
You know when you're freezing your BUTT off and your fingers feel like they're going to fall off everytime the cold wind blows, all you crave is for that special someone to suddenly appear right next to you and take your blistering cold hands in his. And suddenly the world becomes a warm place again.. ;)
For now, I still have my hot cup of Starbucks to take your place :)
